Granny's Hugs and Kisses Baby Quilt
Pictured to the right is a baby quilt with a special twist--the "O's" in the center of each square and the "X's" created when whip stitching the squares together make up a diagonal pattern of "hugs and kisses." The best part about it is that it is easy to crochet. And because it's made with individual squares, it easy to carry along your yarns, hook, and scissors in a Ziplock baggie. I usually tuck these into an oversize purse and carry it along to doctor's appointments, car trips, and long flights. (Though, for the latter, make sure you take blunt-nose scissors less than 4" long because of airline regulations.
